July 4th Fun!

Hello my lovelies!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the month of July. June was a busy whirlwind for me! Lots of work, fashion show, and more. I have some exciting news coming up with my brand, and I will divulge in another post. 🙂

In other news, my online store is coming very soon! Things have been in the works for a while, and I couldn’t be more excited. I will inform everyone as soon as it is up!

For July 4th, I didn’t have many plans. I had a lot of work to do, so I mostly spent time at home and in my studio. But I had a great weekend with friends out in the city. I just finished working on some new designs, and wanted to make an outfit with one of the fun tops I just finished working on.

I wanted to make a fun July 4th outfit with this off the shoulder top I just finished working on. I absolutely love these pants! They are Michael Kors, and just such an interesting print. Perfect for summer! The shoes are from Bebe, and I have had them for ages, but rarely wear them. Recently, I kind of got out of the groove of wearing super high heels. They just aren’t as ‘comfy’ as they used to be I guess.

I love these Tommy Bahama outdoor wine glasses, and they are completely shatter resistant. I had some Childress dessert wine saved from a girls trip, and had some while I was relaxing yesterday. It is called Starbound, and was amazing! If you live in NC, it is definitely a great vineyard to visit. Such a lovely place, and has amazing wine.

My flowers are still blooming on my porch which is amazing, considering how ridiculously hot it is outside here. I love these flowers though, they are called sun parasols.

Isn’t this top so fun! I am working on some similar styles in other fabrics. This is a 100% cotton shirting fabric. The style is so loose and flowy, you could wear it with just about anything. It is ultra light and breathable, and the pom pom trim I just couldn’t live without adding to this look.

I wear my hair in similar styles to this a lot. It is just so easy, and works well when I have work to do to keep hair out of my face. I use a curling wand on the bottom pieces to make a nice wave, and braid and pin back sections of the front. It only takes a few minutes, but always looks great and polished!

Gumbo, my dog, joined me on the couch as he loves to do. He is such a momma’s boy, and I love it! These little pillows are from World Market; I love them so much! The lipstick I chose to complete this look is from Milani Cosmetics. It is a liquid lipstick in a pink-red matte finish. I was always hesitant to try their products, but since they are cruelty free, I figured I would try a few things. This lipstick is fun and stays on very well through eating and drinking! I really love the finish as well. And it matches my manicure! What a plus 😉

So what do you guys think of my new blouse design? The sleeves are huge, so fun! I can’t wait to share more of my good news with you all, and I hope you had an amazing holiday, or just weekend, wherever you are in the world! Until next time,
